Hunter: The Reckoning – Deathwish Announced as New Open World RPG from RoboCop: Rogue City Creators

Teyon and Nacon have officially unveiled Hunter: The Reckoning – Deathwish, an ambitious semi-open world first-person single-player RPG set within the World of Darkness tabletop universe. The announcement marks the studio’s next major project following their successful work on RoboCop: Rogue City.

Unlike the secretive vampire-focused narrative of the Vampire: The Masquerade series, Hunter: The Reckoning shifts perspective to the human side of the supernatural conflict. Players will take on the role of hunters tasked with tracking down and eliminating an array of otherworldly threats, including vampires, werewolves, ghouls, and other monstrous entities lurking in the darkness.

The franchise offers a compelling counterpoint to its better-known World of Darkness sibling. While Vampire: The Masquerade explores the politics and intrigue within a hidden society of immortal bloodsuckers, Hunter: The Reckoning grounds the experience in the perspective of ordinary humans fighting back against the supernatural darkness that surrounds them.

Deathwish’s semi-open world design promises to deliver environmental exploration and player agency within the established lore of World of Darkness. The first-person perspective should provide an immersive approach to both combat encounters and narrative exploration as players uncover the mysteries of this dark universe.

With the previous Bloodlines titles having established solid foundations within World of Darkness, this new Hunter entry aims to carve its own path while maintaining the franchise’s signature blend of horror, action, and role-playing depth.
